Mendota Heights works hard to keep its community together and to provide neighborhoods with a strong sense of community. There\'s always something fun going on in Mendota Heights. Every Independence Day, Mendota Heights throws a huge fireworks special for the entire family with fun activities to participate in all day long. Every Halloween, there\'s a bonfire for the whole family from 7 to 9 pm, perfect for those trying to get rid of some extra brush. The City of Mendota Heights works hard to take care of its environment and community. One of the easiest ways to take care of the environment is recycling. All recyclables can be placed at your curb and includes items such as glass bottles and jars that contained food only, newspapers, steel cans, and corrugated cardboard plastic bottles with necks. All recycle bins are available at City Hall and are free for the first bin per residence. If your bin has been lost or stolen, a new bin can be purchased for $6.00.
